The phenomenon known as L O S T has officially entered its final season, and what a season it looks like its going to be! In typical Cuse/Lindelof fashion, the season premiere kicked up as many questions as answers. This season picks up right where last season left off with Jacob being stabbed by Ben and kicked into the fire by Flocke (also known as fake Locke by only the most committed of fans), Sayid dying, and Juliet dying while slamming a rock into Jughead’s guts. Fade to white (different...)

We pick up this season with two possible outcomes…First, the plane makes it to LAX safe and sound. And second, the Losties skip through time back to 2004 or beyond (not yet determined). Rather than go through the entire episode, I’m just going to list some good points, questions, and themes from the first 2 hours of this season.

-Kate always…always looks good.
-There were plenty of missing Losties on the flight.
-Why was Desmond on the flight???
-Everything seemed to be backward during the trip (Jack nervous, Hurley happy, and Rose confident)
-Why is the island under water? Is it a direct result of Jughead in 1977?
-Why are there odd items in the debris covering the hatch hole? A bike?
-Did Juliet skip through time in her head like Charlotte was doing when she asked Sawyer to get a cup of coffee with her?
-Will these alternate timelines coexist with one another at any point? Or cross?
-The smoke monster is awesome.
-Does Hurley possess the same ability as Miles?
-Are the people in the temple from the Black Rock?
-If the spring is not clear, and didn’t heal the Chinese guy’s hand, why did they still put Sayid in the water?
-What the hell is up with Sayid?
-Richard went from one of the most revered and powerful on the island, to a punk, in about 5 seconds when he got owned by Flocke.

Can’t wait for next weeks’ episode. As always it should be as entertaining as it is frustrating. But, to be a Lost fan, you must be patient. All good things come to those who wait. And I’m sure they have a great season in store for us!
